this is definitely march that law. president morsi says it is needed to insure the vote on a draft constitution on saturday december 15th. they want it to be postponed. they say the constitution is antidemocratic and too islamic. president morsi has given the military and the police these sweeping poeurs not onl powers not only until december 15th but beyond. this looks like a former security measure put in place by hosni mubarak. that was issued more than 30 years and and lasted until his downfall nearly two years ago. martha: that raises the big question, connor about what happens to the opposition now. >> reporter: well, the opposition groups are calling for protests tomorrow and of course on friday, the big day of protest. morsi is calling on his supporters to get out there. the military is trying to act as a mediator. they called for dialogue over the weekend. if they start arresting civilians who are trying to protest this referendum there is no telling what type of violence we will see in the coming days. there
